It’s December and aside from Christmas, another thing that we can look for is the entries for the 2017 Metro Manila Film Festival, there are some familiar franchise and also new one this year this year.
I really don’t watch that much local films but if its worth watching like these movies for the 2017 Metro Manila Film Festival, I won’t have any issue watching them on the big screen.
All Of You
A love story with a different twists. Starring Jennylyn Mercado and Derek Ramsay, and directed by Dan Villegas.
Gab and Gabby, two individuals who have strong opposing views on love and marriage, fall in love and agree to be in a committed relationship, notwithstanding their differing outlook in life. As they hit the 3-year mark, the couple find themselves back to where they started, as they ask themselves where their relationship is headed.
Meant to Beh
The fact that Vic Sotto is not Enteng Kabisote, is a good thing then add a Ms. Dawn Zulueta into the mix then you have a recipe for a good, wholesome, funny and touching family movie.

Gandarrapiddo: The Revenger Squad
A superhero comedy movie. Starring Vice Ganda, Daniel Padilla and Pia Wurtzbach. Directed Joyce Bernal.
It’s somewhat a reboot of the movie “Ang Panday”. Coco Martin, portraying Flavio Batungbakal III, another character that was popularized by Fernando Poe Jr.. Jake Cuenca will the main bad guy Lizardo.
Coco Martin is also the producer and director of the movie.
A story of two gay friends, one is dying but wants to experience his own death. Starring Joross Gamboa and Edgar Allan Guzman. Directed by Julius Alfonso. Screenplay is written by Eric Cabahug, the screenplay of the film won second prize of the Carlos Palanca Memorial Awards for Literature in 2016.
Of course, it won’t be Metro Manila Filmfest without horror movie from Regal films.

Based on the 1997 stage play, Ang Larawan the Musical which in turn was based on A Portrait of the Artist as Filipino by National Artist Nick Joaquin, the film was set in 1941 just before World War II in a mansion in Manila.
This will be the first musical film for Metro Manila Film Fest.
Directed by Loy Arcenas and will star Rachel Alejandro, Paulo Avelino and Joanna Ampil.
The premise of his film as a story of “finding and losing yourself, and falling in and out of love”.
Directed by Paul Soriano starring Jericho Rosales, Erich Gonzales, and Jasmine Curtis-Smith.
Aside from Haunted Forest, the rest of the films are trying a different recipe for this years film fest and “Ang Larawan” stands-out the most. Official entries for the 2017 Metro Manila Film Festival will be in theaters starting this December 25, 2017.
