Oppo to launch the A83 in the Philippines

Chinese smartphone manufacturer, Oppo will launch their “bezel-less” smartphone A83 in the Philippines. Announced last December, the Oppo A83 is a midrange smartphone with near “bezel-less” display. It was first sold in Chine for ¥1399 or around Php 11,000.

The Oppo A83 features a 5.7-inch HD+ display with an aspect ratio of 18:9, with an almost “bezel-less” screen but lacks the home/fingerprint scanner. It’s powered by an unnamed 2.5GHz Octa-core CPU, 32GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 128 GB via microSD. The A83 will be running Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box, 4GB of RAM, and a 3,090mAh battery. The A83 uses an 8MP sensor for the front camera and a 13MP rear camera with LED flash.

In an article on Yugatech, Oppo already sent out press invite for an event set on Friday, January 26, and teases a smartphone with the number 8 and 3 on the screen. Price and the exact availability of the device is expected to be announce at the event.
